To the right, there are colorful printed sheets, some with circular cutouts and others with rainbow-colored, hand-drawn shapes resembling flowers or abstract designs, organized on a red wire rack.

SRA workshop and printmaking demonstration with the Traveling Press!

The traveling press or the newer "Gelli" plates allow for each participant to produce (8x10) images on computer paper or experiment with premium quality papers once they gain some experience.

The prints produce wonderful and unique effects, with results similar to the gelatin process for monotype printing. The process, has a "painterly" quality, and each print is one-of-a-kind.

The traveling press can demo an embossed print as well.
We use acrylic or printmaker's paint along with brushes, brayers, templates, and stencils for each attendee.

Workshops begin with a brief explanation about the varies types of printmaking processes, including: etching, relief or planographic methods. A discussion on the additive or subtractive technique, followed by showcasing a few professional and past workshop prints!
